H10 Hotel Palazzo Canova in Venice
One of the most beautiful terraces in Venice.
Located on the Grand Canal, in the heart of Venice and a few metres from the Rialto Bridge, the Hotel Palazzo Canova is a four-star superior hotel housed in a 19th-century building restored in 2019. Owned by H10 Hotels, an important Spanish hotel chain in great expansion in Europe and the Caribbean.
Horo has produced, to a custom project by Studio International Opera of Florence, all the upholstery and soft furnishings of the rooms, suites and common areas (hall and breakfast room, restaurant and bar with a panoramic view of the Grand Canal).
The rooms are characterised by white walls animated by ochre colours, a tribute to the golden Byzantine mosaics of the Basilica of San Marco and the boxes of the Teatro La Fenice; the peacock blue recalls the colours of the lagoon water.
Among the suites, the corner suite deserves a special mention, from which you can enjoy a breath taking view: the windows are embellished with important characterising and sophisticated curtains with fabrics from the well-known Venetian company Rubelli.
In the Lobby, the numerous sofas, armchairs and ottomans are upholstered in ochre and light blue velvet, which together with the curtains made of Rubelli fabric, enhance the elegance of the furnishings.
On the ground floor there is also the breakfast room: a space embellished by beautiful and functional benches in green fabric, with contemporary capitonné backs, which alternate with glossy black wood panelling to recall the bright colour of the gondolas.
The jewel of the structure is the Bar on the top floor of the building: here Horo has decorated the walls by laying a creamy white damask fabric, typical of the most famous Rubelli fabrics. Behind the bar counter, the same fabric was mounted between two glasses that, when backlit, highlight the decoration of the fabric and the bottles of spirits ready to serve an unforgettable cocktail on the terrace.
